What else do we know about the second season of HBO Max’s I Love LA with Taron Egerton?
The show’s creator, Rachel Sennott, returns as Maia, an aspiring talent manager who struggles to maintain a life outside her work in Los Angeles. Odessa A’zion, True Whitaker, Jordan Firstman, and Josh Hutcherson reprise their roles.
The second season will have a total of eight episodes and is currently in production. HBO Max renewed the comedy in November 2025 after only three episodes of the first season had aired. The early renewal reflected the streamer’s confidence in the series.
The first season became one of HBO Max’s fastest-growing original comedies. It averaged nearly 2 million cross-platform U.S. viewers, helping secure an early Season 2 renewal after just three episodes aired. The strong viewership established Rachel Sennott’s comedy as one of the streamer’s standout original series.
Rachel Sennott also serves as an executive producer alongside Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri, and Lorene Scafaria. Although HBO Max has yet to announce a release date, the addition of Taron Egerton and several new guest stars further strengthens the already star-studded cast of I Love LA Season 2.
