Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for the week of August 3-August 9, 2026, include Scarlett Johansson‘s Sing, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, and many others.
Sing is an animated musical comedy written and directed by Garth Jennings. The film is set in a world run by anthropomorphic animals. It follows a Koala named Buster Moon who organizes a singing competition to save his struggling theater.
The film opened to positive reviews and became succesful at the box office, grossing $634 million worldwide. It features a voice cast of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, and many others.
Also coming to Netflix is the supernatural horror drama Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Set a year and a half after the first film, it follows Abby’s life turning upside down. She is manipulated by an animatronic, Marionette, from the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza plan revenge against the adults. The film mostly received negative reviews but became a box office success, grossing $240 million worldwide
