Prince William has reportedly made it clear that he isn’t interested in a reconciliation with Prince Harry, despite the latter’s private meeting with their father, King Charles. On July 10, the Sussexes visited Charles and Queen Camilla at the monarch’s Highgrove residence in Gloucestershire. William, on the other hand, participated in the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup at Windsor alongside his wife, Kate Middleton. It is reported that the Waleses deliberately scheduled their polo outing to avoid meeting the Sussexes.

Prince William is reportedly not keen on mending fences with his estranged brother, Prince Harry. According to RadarOnline, William and Kate Middleton’s polo outing was a calculated move, a quiet signal to the Sussexes.
“The timing inevitably drew attention,” one royal source said. “William’s public appearance reinforced the impression that he is keeping his distance from Harry despite signs the King is trying to rebuild bridges. There is a growing sense that Charles is prepared to reopen channels of communication, but William remains deeply cautious. The wounds between the brothers have not healed.”
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams echoed the anonymous royal expert’s statements. He shared that the Waleses’ message to Harry and Meghan Markle is loud and clear through their actions. “The optics were deliberate,” Fitzwilliams remarked, and thinks that the future king must feel “betrayed” because of Harry’s memoir, Spare, and his other interviews. Kate has also been “openly supporting William.” Fitzwilliams further shared, “So that’s his view, and it made it clear because polo at that time… it’s obvious. They haven’t spoken for years.”
The first signs of the rift between the brothers reportedly appeared when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals in 2020 and moved to the U.S. William and Harry’s relationship soured further when the Sussexes spoke about their experiences on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Not only that, Harry shared some intricate details in Spare. Sources also insist that any “meaningful reconciliation” between William and Harry remains “considerably further away.”
