Kate Middleton is reportedly trying to help her husband, Prince William, deal with a fractured relationship with his estranged brother, Prince Harry. The Prince and Princess of Wales made a wholesome appearance at Wimbledon this month with their children.
However, as per a report by Closer, the couple may have painted a happy picture for the media, but that isn’t the case at all. Middleton is helping her husband navigate the pain over his broken relationship with his brother, Harry.

As per Closer, Kate Middleton is reportedly heartbroken as she watches Prince William deal with his rift with Prince Harry. An insider revealed: “It’s tearing Kate apart to see William so upset and angry all the time. She’s tried everything – she’s listened, she’s sympathised, she’s encouraged him to talk it through, but nothing seems to work.”
Furthermore, the source explained that Middleton is resorting to “tough love” as her final measure to help her husband navigate his hurt. The insider dished: “She’s at the point where she doesn’t know what else she can do, so she’s resorting to a bit of tough love. She’s ordered him to snap out of it. She’s told him to look around him and realise they’ve got so much to be grateful for. Kate’s feeling happier than she has in a long time, and she wants William to start seeing that the glass is half full, too.”
The Princess of Wales has asked her husband not to let the stress affect him, as it is affecting those around him. Middleton does not want William moping around the kids.
The relationship between the brothers turned sour after the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Notably, their animosity deepened when Harry mentioned private details about his family problems in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
According to a PEOPLE report, the brothers are not in contact with one another, despite Harry’s recent private meeting with King Charles at his residence. An insider revealed to the outlet: “It’s so broken.” Another source added, “I thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest. But there has been no movement, especially on William’s side. There is no contact.”
