Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s visit to Highgrove House seems to have left a lasting impact on King Charles, according to the analysis provided by sources close to the British royal family. Royal sources indicate that King Charles‘ reunion with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after four years has motivated the monarch to bridge the gap between his and Prince Harry’s families.

“Charles came away from this visit very pleased,” the insider noted, adding, “Spending time with Archie and Lilibet meant the world to him, and he has told everyone they were an absolute delight,” according to a Closer report.

The reunion with his grandchildren has not only encouraged King Charles to hope for more such encounters. It has also prompted him to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back to the royal setup, according to the source.

“It’s no secret [that] getting to know them was the driving motivation for opening the door again to Harry and Meghan, but Charles has really put his neck on the line by inviting them back into the fold,” the insider claimed (via The News International).

The source went on to say that King Charles had to deal with severe “opposition” from within the family against his decision to invite Prince Harry and his family to the UK two weeks ago. Nevertheless, the monarch’s decision to ignore such warnings seemed to have worked in his favor, with the insider describing King Charles’ reunion with Prince Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet as nothing short of “extraordinary.”

Notably, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children, met with the King and his wife, Queen Camilla, at Highgrove House on July 10.
