D4vd Fans Stunned as Alleged New Song Suddenly Disappears

Trigger Warning: This article includes discussion of alleged sexual assault, with details.

As D4vd awaits trial after pleading not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a song titled MARCESCENCE unexpectedly appeared on his Spotify profile on July 16. However, it disappeared roughly eight hours later.

D4vd’s alleged new release was pulled within hours

As per TMZ, Spotify initially included a music video alongside the track before archiving it. The video later resurfaced on YouTube through a D4vd archive account. The video featured the singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, holding a camera in front of a bathroom mirror. However, it is unknown who submitted the song, when it was recorded, or if D4vd played any role in its release while behind bars.

D4vd was charged with murdering Celeste, whose body was found decomposed and dismembered in his car in September 2025. Talking about the case, District Attorney Hochman said, as quoted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Celeste was just a child, under 14 years old, when David Burke allegedly engaged in repeated lewd and lascivious sexual relations with her. But Burke’s actions did not allegedly stop there. When she threatened to expose his criminal conduct and devastate his musical career, Burke allegedly murdered her, cut up her body and stuffed her body in two bags.”

The attorney described the case as “horrific and gruesome,” calling Burke a “charged sexual predator.” Hochman also vowed to Celeste’s loved ones that prosecutors would pursue the justice they seek and deserve. If convicted of the charges, Burke could face the death penalty or life in state prison without the possibility of parole. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin on July 21 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
