Prince Harry’s New Podcast Teaser Includes One Rare Royal Detail

Prince Harry’s new podcast teaser reveals aspects of royal life rarely shown. It comes amid the Duke of Sussex’s UK visit, as news of growing family tensions continues to circulate. The preview has attracted wider attention, with its release timing putting his comments into sharper focus.

Prince Harry revives his rare royal name in podcast teaser

Prince Harry used his full name infrequently during a recent interview.

For a preview of the upcoming episode of “Joe Marler Will See You Now,” host Marler, a retired English rugby player, invited Harry to give his introduction. He did so, revealing his full name, “Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex.”

Co-host Jake Bhardwaj chimed in with, “It’s a long one.” Prince Harry fired back immediately with, “Alright, ‘Jake,’ ” drawing laughter from the hosts and crew. Marler then said that the full episode will be released on Monday, July 13, at 5 p.m. U.K. time.

The teaser has sparked a wave of reactions from viewers, who loved Prince Harry’s lighthearted comeback and easy vibe with the hosts. “Ah its lovely to see him relaxed and smiling for once,” wrote an Instagram user. “Love how Harry just loves being one of the guys,” echoed another. Even the Invictus Games joined the conversation with a comment that read, “Don’t miss it!!!”

Harry seldom uses his full name and title in public, often opting for more subtle ones instead. According to Page Six, in December 2025, he competed in the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado, without using his princely title.

Prince Harry arrived in the U.K. on July 6 for a run of charity engagements, including the one-year-to-go event for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. While the Sussexes had originally announced plans to bring their two children to the U.K. for the first time since 2022, security concerns cast doubt on the trip.

However, by Thursday, July 9, outlets reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, would still come to Britain but wouldn’t take part in any public events.
