Lil Wayne and Madi Cannon have ended their relationship. The 43-year-old rapper confirmed that he and the 23-year-old social media personality from Indiana were never engaged, despite months of ongoing speculation.
Lil Wayne and Madi Cannon have reportedly called off their engagement weeks after their romance became public
During a live stream with fans, the hip-hop artist said, as quoted by Complex, “I would like to clear something up: No, I’m not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person… I considered that I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we decided to part. Sucks.”
Speculation about Wayne’s engagement has been ongoing since May this year, reports TMZ. The outlet also stated the breakup may also explain why he failed to appear at the 20-year ‘Tha Carter’ anniversary tour opener in Bangor, Maine, recently. The concert has now been rescheduled for July 28.
In the same stream, he also spoke about why he missed his tour stop. He said, “I have epilepsy, I have seizures, right? Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in years, but seizures have triggers. A trigger for my seizures is bad migraines. I had a fucking migraine that night… it was recommended I don’t get in the air.” According to Complex, in 2016, the rapper experienced a seizure during a flight, prompting an emergency landing. He had also suffered similar in-flight seizures in 2012 and 2013.
The hip-hop icon has previously been romantically linked to rapper Trina, model Karrine Steffans, singer Christina Milian, model Denise Bidot, and Lauren London. He was also married to Toya Johnson and engaged to his former partners, Nivea B. Hamilton and La’Tecia Thomas. He also has four children from different relationships: Reginae, Dwayne, Kameron, and Neal, according to People.
