A$AP Rocky, who has faced a backlash from fans over a remark directed at female concertgoers, addressed the criticism during the Don’t Be Dumb tour. The 37-year-old rapper fired back at critics, saying, “F**k the Internet.”
A$AP Rocky has a message for critics during concert
The controversy began after Rocky remarked on female fans during the show, saying, “Thank God y’all didn’t know me when I was single, ’cause I would’ve f the sh* out of you.” The comment sparked backlash after footage from the concert went viral online, with critics also questioning his public relationship with Rihanna.
One user on X wrote, “I wonder why Rihanna is still with him; he doesn’t even respect her for him to say something like that.” Another commented, “I’m still surprised that there are people who actually pay to go to ASAP Rocky’s concert in 2026 lol.”
Earlier this month, the Grammy-nominated rapper also became the subject of memes after social media users joked about him appearing to wear a thong onstage, reports Complex. However, AWGE, his creative agency and record label, quickly responded on social media by sharing images of its branded underwear and shutting down the rumors. They wrote, suggesting fans had mistaken Rocky’s wireless microphone pack for underwear, “DONT BE DUMB YOU PLAYED YASELF. MISTOOK A MIC PACK. YOUR DUMBNESS IS OPPORTUNITY.”
After facing backlash, Rocky took a moment during his latest Don’t Be Dumb tour to bash critics. He said, “Fuck the internet. First they [were] saying n***a was wearing thongs, then they [were] saying n***as show wasn’t selling out, nobody wasn’t coming, then they [were] saying I’m disrespectful to my wife. Suck my dick, n***a.”
According to People, A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, went public with Rihanna in November 2020. Speaking to the outlet at the 2025 Gotham Awards, the rapper said Rihanna’s support “means everything” to him. “Family support is just … spousal support, everything,” he said. “It just means a lot. It goes a long way.”
Despite speculation, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have not confirmed they are legally wed. However, as per People, during an interview with The Perfect Magazine in October 2025, the rapper referred to himself as a father. Being a father, a partner, and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy.”
