Kirk Hammett faces backlash from Taylor Swift fans
Kirk Hammett modeled a questionable Taylor Swift T-shirt at a recent concert, garnering significant backlash from her fans. As per the Consequence, the Metallica guitarist showed off a T-shirt that read: “Taylor Swift is a CIA Psyop.” He wore the T-shirt during a June 13 concert in Budapest at the Puskás Aréna.
This has certainly angered the pop star’s devoted fanbase.
One fan commented, “why are men incapable of being normal about her. they can’t just be indifferent, they have to be so loudly performative of their stance that always exposes how little research they’ve ever actually done on her.”
A second fan wrote: “This is so scary. Men hate her for no reason. This is directly related to violence against women.”
A third fan roasted: “One of the biggest bands of all time, but TAYLOR STILL OUTSOLD THEM!!!!”
A fourth fan penned: “Pretty ironic this coming from metallica after the whole Napster thing , literal band who’s greedy, out of touch, and hostile to their own fanbase. They are the face of corporate money-hungry rock and it just feels like, ‘Please notice me, I’m still a rebel.’”
A fifth fan chimed in: “He’s just mad Taylor is younger, more beautiful, and more successful than him.”
Finally, a fan shared: “They hate that a woman is on top of the music game rn, simple.”
Swift recently released the OST “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Toy Story 5. She was also spotted at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, presumably recording new music. The pop star is also busy with preparations for her upcoming wedding with fiancé Travis Kelce.
