Tom Holland’s newest Bero launch draws inspiration from his “beau,” Zendaya. The actor is toasting love with the brand’s new non-alcoholic drink, a tribute to his longtime partner.
Tom Holland reveals how Zendaya inspires new Bero product
Tom Holland has opened up about Bero’s newest release, sharing that Zendaya’s influence runs through the entire concept.
Holland revealed that his new Bero shandy line was inspired by two key women in his life, Zendaya and his mother, Nikki Holland.
“The shandy was kind of my mum’s idea,” the Spider-Man: No Way Home star revealed to Forbes in their June 1 interview. “Zendaya, bless her, has never been a drinker, so she’s never drank beer. She didn’t love the beers we have on sale.”
Hence, Holland and his team focused on making something authentic, crafting a drink they knew Zendaya would love.
Bero’s upcoming non-alcoholic shandy lineup features classic lemon lime alongside grapefruit, elderflower, and blackberry yuzu. And Zendaya already has a favorite. Holland told Forbes that the Dune star banned him from drinking it at home because it’s hers.
However, the inspiration didn’t stop with his partner and his mom. The 30-year-old also crafted the elderflower shandy as a nod to his grandmother, using the flavor she always enjoyed.
For those unaware, Bero was launched in 2024, following the Cherry actor’s decision to stop drinking in 2022. He has shared that going sober has positively shaped both his personal life and his work. And he quickly found support from the people who matter most, with his friends and Zendaya right behind him.
“Drinking was something that was ultimately really getting in the way of my professional life,” Tom Holland said in an interview with USA Today back in April. “Being an actor and living your life on the big stage can be really stressful. And I think that alcohol, for me personally, really compounded that issue.”
“Everyone was really present,” he further added. “There was no waking up the next day feeling groggy. And I just love what it’s done for my life in general.”
