Given the lack of updates in the Nancy Guthrie case, Savannah Guthrie has reportedly spent about half a million dollars on private investigators and outside specialists. She has allegedly done so to continue the search for her mom after not getting any major updates from official investigators.
It has now been more than 100 days since Nancy vanished from her Tucson home. Now, the “Today” anchor is reportedly no longer waiting for the official investigation to give her answers. She has allegedly assembled an entire independent team.
Savannah Guthrie is reportedly spending around $500K to search for mom Nancy
A source close to Nancy Guthrie’s family told The Sun that Savannah assembled an entire independent team to work on her mom’s case after no significant updates from the official investigators. Savannah has allegedly formed a team of former federal agents, security experts, and private detectives who work on new leads every day.
The insider claimed, “She is not prepared to stop looking for her mother.” They added, “She feels that depending only on the official investigation is not enough anymore – that’s why she’s investing so heavily in private investigators and outside specialists.”
When the Pima County Sheriff’s Office stopped dealing with Savannah directly, she allegedly took it personally. The insider claimed, “She felt the family was being pushed further away from the center of the investigation.”
Reportedly, although “the financial cost has become enormous,” she just wants to bring her mom back. Moreover, they claimed, “By now, the costs have climbed well into the mid-six figures.”
It is speculated that Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her bed in the early hours of February 1. So far, the only major update Savannah Guthrie has received about her mom is doorbell camera footage of a masked person blocking the lens before breaking in.
Through all the back-and-forth, Savannah has reportedly only been focusing on finding her mother. As the source told The Sun, “She keeps telling friends the same thing: The family can’t stop searching.”
