Ella Bright has addressed the online discussion surrounding her age difference with Belmont Cameli after viewers reacted to the intimate scenes featured in Off Campus. Speaking during a recent podcast interview, the actress said she was fully aware of the nature of the role before production began and emphasized that she felt comfortable throughout filming.
During her appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Bright explained that she was 18 years old while filming the series, while Cameli was 28. “I came into this job and during the chemistry reads with more than enough information and knowledge and understanding of what this role required and the show,” she said while discussing the reaction surrounding the series.
The actress also dismissed concerns that she may have felt uncomfortable or isolated on set because she was younger than much of the cast. She said, “I get people’s concern, but also not once did I feel, one, left out from being younger than everybody.”
Talking about the dynamics between the cast, Bright added, “We’re all such a family and everyone was just more than perfect, and I couldn’t be more comfortable on this set with these people.” She concluded, “So it is funny when they say that I’m like I’m good.” The discussion also touched on the show’s intimate scenes and nudity.
