Alan Ritchson shares a new look at Motor City
A new image from Motor City has provided another glimpse at Alan Ritchson’s upcoming revenge thriller ahead of its theatrical release later this summer.
The photo was unveiled as part of Collider’s Summer 2026 preview coverage and was later reposted by Ritchson on his Instagram Story. It has drawn attention from fans anticipating Ritchson’s next major action role following the success of Reacher.
The newly released image features Ritchson as John Miller standing in front of a burning car surrounded by heavy smoke. The actor appears unrecognizable and intense in the newly released look, highlighting the violent path his character takes throughout the film.
Directed by Potsy Ponciroli, Motor City is set in 1970s Detroit and stars Ritchson as John Miller. The story follows Miller after he falls in love with the girlfriend of a local gangster. The gangster eventually frames him, leading to Miller being sent to prison. After spending years behind bars, Miller returns home with the sole intention of taking revenge against the people responsible for setting him up.
Alongside Ritchson, the film stars Shailene Woodley as Sophia and Ben Foster as Reynolds. The supporting cast also includes Pablo Schreiber, Ben McKenzie, Lionel Boyce, and Amar Chadha-Patel as Singh. The screenplay is written by Chad St. John, while the music for the film is composed by Jack White.
Independent Film Company is scheduled to release Motor City in theaters on July 24, 2026.
