Sebastian Stan Is Expecting a Child With Partner, Breaks Silence

Sebastian Stan made a brief comment about fatherhood after it was announced earlier that he is expecting a child with his partner, Annabelle Wallis. The duo has been romantically linked since 2022, when they were spotted at Robert Pattinson’s 36th birthday party. Although they have supported each other openly, they have kept their relationship private, rarely sharing details publicly.

The news about Wallis and Stan entering the parenthood chapter emerged in March 2026. Now, after a few months, Stan has officially addressed the good news, providing brief details on what kind of dad he aims to be for his newborn child in a conversation with Deadline. He said, “I want to be a good dad.” This remark comes during his discussion about his new movie, Fjord, which is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Directed by Cristian Mungiu, the drama movie centers on the Gheorghiu family, who relocate to a Norwegian village and maintain a good bond with the Halberg family. Things take a surprising turn when they are accused of weird behavior towards their children, which drags them to face negative attention and judgment from those around. Apart from this, Stan will be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, reprising his role as Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier/ White Wolf. He’s also credited as a producer of the movie A River’s Gaze.

Last year, in a conversation with Vanity Fair, Stan revealed why he prefers to keep his relationship away from the public eye. “I feel like it’s really difficult nowadays to be able to have any privacy whatsoever,” Stan said. “[My relationship] is the one part of my life that I try to keep somewhat for myself, even though it sort of ends up being out there,” he explained. Across their relationship, the couple has made several public appearances at major events, including the 2025 Golden Globes and Vanity Fair’s annual Oscars afterparty.
