YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who is among the most influential MAGA voices, spoke to Theo Von in a recent podcast appearance, where the pair suggested that Trump, and even his son, Barron, should be on the frontlines fighting the USA’s war with Iran. Paul compared the idea to historical Roman emperors who governed and also fought in wars.
Jake Paul wants Donald Trump or his son on ‘frontlines’
Jake Paul, YouTuber and boxer, spoke to Theo Von on Von’s podcast, This Past Weekend, where the pair spoke about the prospect of President Donald Trump leading a war effort by being on the frontlines.
Paul said that he had been reading about Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. “One of his biggest sayings is, you know, your biggest thing is to be a part of society and make it a better place,” Paul said. “So, I think that’s maybe where I’m at these days.” Von said that “a lot of the politicians also had to fight on the battlefield.” He added that if politicians “were going to make choices that affected the lives of the citizens of the military, of the farmer who was putting down his pitchfork and picking up a sword, like, they had to be out there as leaders as well. I admire that concept.”
Paul agreed that the concept of politicians leading from the front was “dope.” He added, “Like if I ever was running for office, I would also be like super down to have a AR-15 and f***in’ shoot these mother***fers.”
The boxer went on to compare his fight with Anthony Joshua to the idea of politicians risking their lives for their country. “I’m down to die, bro,” he said. “I think I put that on the line with Anthony Joshua. Like, I’m down for this s**t, bro. But like, I think you’re right. That’s a really good point, actually. Like Trump should be on the front lines, or Barron. I don’t know if he’s old enough yet.”
President Donald Trump’s office has not commented on this yet.
