The lifeguards are back on the beach. Production for the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot has officially begun. The first-look photos from the set are already giving fans a glimpse of the iconic red swimsuits that made the original series famous.
Among the stars stepping into the action-packed world of beach rescues is Shay Mitchell. She was spotted filming scenes while embracing the classic lifeguard aesthetic.

Mitchell appeared on set in the franchise’s signature red one-piece swimsuit while holding the recognizable rescue buoy during filming on Tuesday, March 17.
The upcoming Fox reboot features an ensemble cast including Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, and Livvy Dunne. For Dunne, the series marks her acting debut after gaining fame as a gymnast at Louisiana State University. Meanwhile, it will be only the second scripted acting role for Nader.
The series centers on Amell’s Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon from the original “Baywatch”. Now serving as Baywatch captain, Hobie’s life is shaken when the daughter he never knew appears at his doorstep, determined to follow the Buchannon lifeguard legacy.
