Fortnite is all set to bring an exciting update for Star Wars. The online game will now allow users to make their own Star Wars minigames. This ability was promised a long time back, and the implementation is expected to cause a frenzy.
Fortnite users can now build their own Star Wars mini-games
Fortnite will be opening up content creation to users with new tools going live on Thursday, March 19, 2025. In 2024, the Walt Disney Company announced a $1.5 billion investment in developer Epic Games, which created Fortnite. This deal focused on an all-new game and a new Disney universe with exciting characters. This development was also made to create a space for users to play, watch, shop, and engage with their favorite Disney franchises, including Star Wars. Moreover, a concept art showcased an island map with areas based on franchises. Now, looks like the promise is finally turning into reality.
A Fortnite UEFN x Star Wars was officially confirmed on Fortnite developers X’s page. They shared a video of a desktop screen with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader standing in the corners. Soon, the screen zooms in on the user selecting Unreal Editor for Fortnite, which will take players to an exciting universe. In the end, Thursday’s date is shown, and users filled the comment section with their thoughts.
One user said, “Finally, someone has recreated the event of destroying the Imperial Star Destroyer, and if possible, also the Galactic Conquest mode from Battlefront 3 Free Radical or Galactic Assault from Battlefront 2 EA. Please do it!” Another one wrote, “It’s finally time for me to learn UEFN. I used to make maps for fun, maybe 5 years ago, and this is what’s finally reeled me back in. Hoping to see a lot of prequel stuff. I’m sure more IP tools will reel many others in (just not at the cost of price increases). Budget carefully.” A third user commented, “Does this mean we finally get lightsabers in creative officially?” Another fan said, “Let’s GO! Can’t wait to play Red vs Blue Goat Brian Han Solo.”
