Barry Keoghan recently joined Tyler West and Chloe Burrows at the KISS studio for a fun-filled interview about all things Peaky Blinders, gaming, accents, and his upcoming Netflix movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which is set to release on March 20, 2026. During this interview, Keoghan even admitted that he is an addicted gamer. However, this statement has prompted skepticism from some fans.
Peaky Blinders star Barry Keoghan shares his love for gaming
Barry Keoghan is all set to play Duke Shelby, the son of gangster Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. His character also seems to have inherited his father’s criminal empire in Birmingham during World War 2. Discussing this and more, he recently appeared on KISS FM’s show with Tyler West and Chloe Burrows. He also opened up about his love for games as a self-proclaimed “massive gamer.”
While elaborating on his gaming experience as a whole, he exclaimed, “I have this PSP, and I have The Simpsons: Hit & Run on it. I love Pokémon as well. I love FireRed. I’m a big gamer.” However, it seems like fans weren’t having it. In fact, a few of them also took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted their doubts. In fact, one of them even called Keoghan a fraud because “The Simpsons: Hit & Run” never came out for PSP.
Another fan also commented on this fact, saying, “Big fan of him owning a game that never existed.” Furthermore, several fans, who are also ardent gamers, even challenged him to name some other games in order to prove the fact that he is actually a gamer. One of these aggravated fans even exclaimed, “He is a big gamer, names 2 20+ year old games!” Unfortunately, neither Keoghan nor his team has issued statements to clarify the matter yet.
