Rumors regarding Nicole Kidman‘s latest romantic interest seem to have left her ex-husband, Keith Urban, unsettled, sources have claimed. Insiders close to the Babygirl star have suggested that MGM Resorts chairman Paul Salem is apparently looking to initiate a relationship with the Hollywood veteran, reportedly causing distress in her former partner’s life.
Sources suggest Keith Urban is ‘raging’ over Nicole Kidman’s romance
According to a recent report published by RadarOnline, Salem has informed his social circle of his intentions to pursue Nicole Kidman romantically.
The duo reportedly shares a common group and has already met with each other on two occasions. While Salem and Kidman do not seem to have spent any time alone, their supposed association seems to have enraged the actress’ ex-husband, insiders claimed.
“Keith is raging at the idea of Nicole being linked to anyone so quickly, and the fact he is an older, distinguished multi-millionaire is only fueling that anger and jealousy at the prospect of them getting together,” the source told the outlet. “Even though the divorce was amicable on paper, it’s still raw for him. Seeing her name connected to a powerful, wealthy executive has hit a nerve,” they further claimed.
Another insider remarked, “Keith knew the day when Nicole decided to move on would come, but he didn’t expect speculation about her love life to begin so soon after their divorce was finalized. He feels protective of his family and doesn’t like the circus that comes with these kinds of romance rumors.”
Despite Keith Urban’s reservations, sources in Nicole Kidman’s circle have noted that “there is no romantic relationship” between her and Paul Salem.
“They’re not seeing each other privately, and she isn’t entertaining the idea of dating anyone at this point. Her energy is firmly directed toward her daughters and the professional commitments she has lined up,” the insider exclaimed.
One source noted that Kidman is “not looking to complicate her life with a new relationship right now – her focus is on her family, her projects, and rebuilding on her own terms.”
Notably, Urban and Kidman filed for separation in September 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The pair finalized their divorce earlier this year.
