A new rumor claims a pop megastar can potentially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe very soon. An industry scooper recently claimed that Lady Gaga may strike a deal with Marvel Studios to return to the world of comic book movies after taking on a major role in Joker: Folie à Deux.
Lady Gaga rumored to have met with Kevin Feige
Industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH took to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that Lady Gaga could potentially play a major role in the MCU. “Speaking of, Lady Gaga had a meeting with Kevin Feige and is likely to land a big role in the MCU,” they shared.
These rumors come after Lady Gaga received multiple Grammys this year.
The claims around the “Poker Face” singer potentially joining Marvel aren’t something new. The same scooper speculated back in November 2024 that Feige wanted to cast her as the Dazzler.
Notably, Tom DeFalco and John Romita Jr. created Dazzler for Marvel Comics. The character made her first appearance in The Uncanny X-Men #130 over four decades ago and has since become a prominent part of that fictional world.
Back in 2020, an earlier report claimed that Lady Gaga might play Emma Frost in a Marvel movie. January Jones portrayed the character in 2011’s X-Men: First Class.
It’s unclear whether the meeting that @MyTimeToShineH mentions in the newer post, if it indeed happened, was about Dazzler, Emma Frost, or any other specific character. Neither Marvel nor Lady Gaga has released any official statement on the matter at the time of this article’s composition.
Previously, Lady Gaga played the role of Harleen “Lee” Quinzel in the 2024 sequel Joker: Folie à Deux. The film underperformed at the box office and currently has a 31% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes after 371 reviews.
