LeBron James Underwent This Lifestyle Shift During Sciatica Rehab

NBA star LeBron James has been putting in the work to get back on the court, and his recent rehab from a sciatica injury has been a transformative journey. The basketball pro has made a personal lifestyle change that he and his inner circle think could prolong his illustrious NBA run. As he navigated the challenges of recovery, James made the conscious decision to overhaul a crucial aspect of his life.

LeBron James gave up this thing during sciatica rehab

LeBron James has made a major lifestyle tweak during his time in rehab. The basketball superstar has given up alcohol for a stronger, healthier return to the game. According to an article by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers superstar stopped drinking as part of his sciatica rehab to boost his recovery and performance. McMenamin noted that James is looking sharper this season, with sources crediting his newfound discipline for the noticeable improvement.

“There’s no telling the ride the Lakers could still go on this spring, especially if James can find that cape to put back on,” McMenamin wrote. James, who is now in the latter stages of his career, recently suffered a setback due to sciatica. This caused him to miss the initial 14 games of the season. However, his decision to abstain from alcohol appears to be a deliberate choice.

It is aimed at optimizing his physical condition and easing the strain on his back and joints. As per sources cited in the article, LeBron James has noticeably shed weight since quitting drinking. LeBron James’ love for wine and luxury experiences is no secret. He has often spoken about unwinding with a glass of wine after big games.

In 2021, James had mentioned that he enjoys wine for its heart health benefits. “I’ve heard it’s good for the heart,” James said. “Listen, I’m playing the best basketball of my life, and I’m drinking some wine pretty much every day. Whatever it is, I’ll take it.”
