Five Guys launches a new breakfast menu with an interesting beverage lineup. According to Circana, the overall traffic in the foodservice industry has declined by 1 percent. Reportedly, consumers are dining out less often and aren’t enticed by the same, mundane offerings by most fast-food joints (via The Street).
Fast food chains treat it as a wake-up call and are experimenting with new menus, extending service hours, and introducing limited-time menu items to generate hype.
Five Guys has opened its newest flagship restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. This new restaurant is unlike any of their franchises. The first-of-its-kind offers all-day breakfast and a bar serving a range of alcoholic drinks, from beer, wine, frozen cocktails, and unique alcoholic milkshakes.
The Five Guys Grand Canal will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. The restaurant aims to offer diverse options to appease tourists and locals alike. The Five Guys Grand Canal also hopes to beat its competition, namely fine dining restaurants and bars.
Interestingly, The Five Guys Grand Canal isn’t the first to launch an all-day breakfast menu. Several other fast food joints have tried and, unfortunately, haven’t been quite successful. McDonald’s initially launched its breakfast menu in 2015 and ended it within 5 years, in 2020.
McDonald’s did this to improve speed and efficiency and to cut down on unnecessary costs. Five Guys Grand Canal’s Edward Pizzarello said in a press release, “The location represents a big moment for our brand. We wanted to deliver what people have always loved about Five Guys—fresh, handmade food prepared with purpose, quality, consistency, and taste—while embracing the energy and indulgence that define Las Vegas (via PR Newswire).”
