Star Wars Celebration 2016 London is right around the corner, and CRAVE will be there every step of the way to guide you through all the action both on the show floor and during its various panels.
There will be an awful lot to check out across the three days of the event, but if you’re planning to attend then there are a selection of key panels that you won’t want to miss. Here are all the Star Wars Celebration 2016 London panels that you simply cannot skip:
July 15th
An Hour with Mark Hamill
When: 11:30 – 12:30
Where: Celebration Stage
Luke Skywalker himself kicks off proceedings on the first day of the Star Wars Celebration, as Mark Hamill spends an hour fielding fan questions and discussing his time in the entertainment industry. There’s really no better way to begin your Star Wars Celebration experience than by listening to anecdotes from the face of the Star Wars series, as he recounts stories from his time during the Star Wars franchise’s meteoric rise to success and the latest entry in the saga, The Force Awakens. He may even let us in on a little secret or two regarding Episode VIII, if we’re lucky enough.
ILM Presents: Star Wars Archaeology

If you want to go more in-depth about the Star Wars franchise’s set design and the construction of its iconic spacecraft, then this is the panel to attend. Hosted by speakers Chief Creative Officer John Knoll, Vice President Executive Creative Director Doug Chaing and Supervising Art Director Kevin Jenkins, ILM Presents: Star Wars Archaeology will guide attendees through the history of Star Wars‘ special effects, from A New Hope through to The Force Awakens.
Marvel’s Star Wars Comics Panel
When: 15:00 – 16:00
Where: Galaxy Stage (Door N17)
Marvel have truly been doing an excellent job with their various Star Wars comic book series, with this panel placing a spotlight upon what we can expect from them in the future. Writer Kieron Gillen and artists Phil Noto and Marco Chechetto join editor Jordan D. White in an hour-long discussion regarding their take on a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
When: 16:00 – 17:00

The biggest highlight for many attendees of Star Wars Celebration 2016 will undoubtedly be all the new information we’re set to receive pertaining to the upcoming Star Wars spin-off film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy is on hand to host the panel, with it set to include special guests and plenty more details regarding the movie. July 16th
The Creatures, Droids and Aliens of Star Wars: The Force Awakens
When: 12:00 – 13:00
Where: Celebration Stage
From BB-8 through to Supreme Leader Snoke, Star Wars: The Force Awakens managed to go toe-to-toe with its predecessors in terms of the designs of its non-human characters, and this panel will provide a closer look at how the sci-fi blockbuster managed to achieve this. Creative Supervisor Neal Scanlan will be the speaker in this in-depth exploration of the Star Wars creature shop, highlighting the process that goes behind the creation of the fantastical creatures we saw on the big screen in Episode VII.
Anthony Daniels, Without Protocol
When: 14:00 – 15:00

Anthony Daniels will talk to host Warwick Davis about his portrayal of C-3PO, from the unique perspective of one of only two actors to have appeared in all seven Star Wars movies. Daniels and Davis will answer questions from the audience, exploring what life has been like in that uncomfortable golden suit.
Star Wars Rebels Season 3
When: 16:00 – 18:00

Star Wars Rebels has proven to be a huge hit with Star Wars fans, with the animated series helping to fill in the gaps of the struggles the Star Wars universe faced between the collapse of the Jedi in Episode III and the rise of a new hope in Episode VIII. The Star Wars Rebels season 3 panel will see the series’ Executive Producer and Supervising Director Dave Filoni and a bunch of special guests discussing the upcoming season, along with premiering its first two episodes.
Meet The Creators: The Minds Behind EA’s Star Wars Games
When: 19:00 – 20:00
Where: Celebration Stage
EA currently has a bunch of Star Wars games in development, along with providing continued support for the likes of Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars Battlefront. This roundtable discussion will feature developers from across these games offering behind-the-scenes stories of their time working on their Star Wars game adaptations, along with providing insight into what they’ve got in the pipeline.
July 17th
Carrie Fisher: The Princess Diaries
When: 11:00 – 12:00
Where: Celebration Stage
Carrie Fisher’s no-nonsense attitude was a highlight of the lengthy Star Wars: The Force Awakens press junket, and she’ll be making an hour-long appearance at Star Wars Celebration 2016 in order to share stories with her fans. In what will likely be the funniest panel of the weekend, expect Carrie to pull no punches as she details what it’s been like to portray Princess/General Leia.
Lucasfilm: The Art of Storytelling
When: 12:00 – 13:00
Where: Galaxy Stage (Door N17)
What better way to spend your last day than taking an in-depth tour of Lucasfilm, the company behind the saga. Leaders across ILM, Skywalker Sound, ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm Animation and the Lucasfilm Story Group each provide a fascinating look at how the Star Wars franchise became such a monolithic force in film, and what it has taken for that to become the case.
Future Filmmaker Discussion & Closing Ceremony
When: 15:00 – 16:00
Where: Celebration Stage
Star Wars Celebration 2016 Europe concludes with a panel featuring filmmakers from Star Wars Episode VIII and the untitled Han Solo spin-off. The event is saying that there will be “big surprises” during the panel, so we’ll perhaps see some footage from Episode VIII and more info regarding the Han Solo film (we hope). Warwick Davis will also run through the best moments of the three-day event for attendees, before everyone makes their way back home.
