Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode moved on in the United States Championship tournament, both winning their respective semifinal matches on tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live.
Mahal defeated Xavier Woods, while Roode defeated Mojo Rawley; following Roode’s win, the Singh Brothers ran down and attacked Roode, and Mahal said he looked forward to ending Roode’s charade next week.
Roode said he wanted to fight now, but Mahal said he would do it on his time, and wanted to give Roode a whole week to get ready. Daniel Bryan walked up behind Mahal, and said they wouldn’t wait any longer, and booked the final tournament match for tonight.
The tournament finals were originally scheduled to take place at the Royal Rumble; highlights from both matches can be seen below:
