In Ring Segment: The New Day
Kofi Kingston says that tonight the fate of the United States is on the line when Xavier Woods faces Jinder Mahal in the second round of the title tournament. Woods says he wants to talk about the principle of pancakes… or something. Woods says that a vote for him is a vote for three. Woods tells the WWE Universe that Mahal dispises everyone here. Is that the type of man you want as the United States champion. Woods asks everyone on the planet earth to lend him their strength (ha!) so he can defeat Mahal tonight.
United States Championship Tournament Round 2: Xavier Woods w/Big E. and Kofi Kingston vs Jinder Mahal w/The Singh Brothers
Mahal kicks Woods in the head. Woods drops like a sack of potatoes. Mahal chokes Woods on the middle rope. Leaping knee drop by Mahal. Woods tries to fire up but Mahal fells him with a stiff back elbow. Woods surprises Mahal with a dropkick. Woods charges in and eats a boot from Mahal. Mahal drops a headbutt on Woods. After a short break, Mahal has Woods in a shoulder bar. Woods fights out of the hold but Mahal destroys him with a clothesline. Mahal chokes Woods with his boot. On the outside, Big E. and Kingston chuck pancakes at the Singhs. Woods lands a few strikes. Mahal picks up Woods and stun guns him on the top rope. Mahal chokes Woods with the ring skirt. Woods almost gets counted out.
Woods starts to rally but once again Mahal breaks Woods momentum. Woods manages to boot Mahal in the face. Woods tries the Honor Roll but Mahal catches him with a flying knee. Mahal sits Woods on the top rope. Woods knocks Mahal off the top. Woods hits a missile dropkick off the top. Mahal and Woods trade strikes. Woods floors Mahal with multiple elbows. Woods misses his rope jump DDT. Shining Wizard by Woods. Mahal kicks out. The Singh Brothers get on the apron. Kingston and Big E. chase them up the ramp. Woods back-suplexes Mahal. Woods misses his elbow drop. Mahal whips Woods into throat first into the bottom rope. Mahal hits his finish for the win.
