From Rag & Bone SS15 Campaign.

The onset of winter demands a different approach to our daily wardrobe, one that doesn’t sacrifice good taste for the sake of warmth and comfort. What you’ll need, among other necessities, are some solid boots, a cozy sweater, a couple henleys, some slick button-downs, and a proper jacket or two. When looking to up your fashion game, look no further than those brands and designers who have carved a considerable name for themselves. While the collections offered by Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, and Moschino are inspired by different themes and employ different motifs, what they share is a dedication to well-made menswear that combines functionality with fashion-forward styles.

Designer Jeremy Scott came up in the late 90s, transferring his early success as a Pratt Institute student dressing New York club kids to opening his namesake brand in 1997.His first show was inspired by automobile accidents and featured his now longtime muse, Devon Aoki. Consistently unorthodox and always outwardly shunning commerciality, Scott’s designs embraced and integrated pop culture motifs to great kitsch effect, with collections inspired Spongebob or emblazoned with the the various logos of fast food companies. In 2008, Adidas partnered with the designer to launch a highly collaboration collection of footwear and apparel, consisting of the now well-known high-tops with literal wings. While still heading his eponymous label, in 2013 Scott became Creative Director of Moschino, bringing his signature eclecticism to bear on the respected Italian fashion house.
