Chvrches hit up the Triple J studios on Friday morning to produce an impressive Arctic Monkeys cover for the broadcaster’s Like A Version segment.
The Scottish electro trio pulled out a classy cover of ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ to become the latest band in a growing line of high profile international acts to grace Triple J’s Friday morning show, joining recent guests Lorde, The Jezabels, Jagwar Ma, Vance Joy and Hungry Kids Of Hungary.
“When something’s so strong melodically like that, the first thing we do is sit at a keyboard and try to re-harmonize it,” the band said of their down-tempo cover.
In Australia for the second time in the space of a year in support of the band’s debut LP The Bone Of What You Believe, Chvrches recently wrapped up a touring run with the Laneway Festival (Lorde, Haim, XXYYXX, Jamie XX, Earl Sweatshirt) plus an additional set of sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.
