Weezer Teases Their ‘White Album’ With New Track ‘L.A. Girlz’

The Weezer train rolls on this week with the release of another new song, “L.A. Girlz” from their self-titled, self-released “White Album,” the follow-up to 2014’s Everything Will Be Alright in the End.

Due on on April 1, the new record is said to include singles “Do You Wanna Get High?,” the best-so-far “Thank God for Girls,” and “King of the World,” as well as “L.A. Girlz.” The track, written by Cuomo and guitarist Brian Bell, premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show earlier today.

Listen to the track below, and try not to drown in power-chord melancholia in this overwrought pop-rock punch, complete with Wayne’s World finale-worthy guitar solo:

Speaking with Lowe, Cuomo also revealed that he’s already started composing the “Black Album,” which he says will be “darker”.

Weezer will be hitting the road with Panic! at the Disco soon.
