So This Dude Is Currently Living In A Storage Unit And Is Probably Happier Than You

And he’s only happier because some of us pay a ridiculous amount of money to live in a shoebox infested with mice.

So even if you noticed that you’re an incredible cheapskate, or that you’re one of the world’s biggest cheapskates, you shouldn’t feel too bad because the guy in this story is currently living in a storage unit, and he seems pretty damn proud of it.

YouTube user 007Craft states that he had just recently came back from hiking in the Pacific Trail when he found himself homeless. Here’s the rest of what he had to stay thanks to his video description.

I had given up my apartment to go hike and now that I was back I wanted to turn my car into a livable space. I eventually did that, but found I still needed access to lots of stuff from my storage unit which was 6x4x10 and everything was just jammed in there. I figured there had to be a better way. I scoped out a 10x10x6 unit and moved all my stuff inside. Still super small, I managed to build shelves and organize it in a way where everything is accessible. But why stop there! I decided to build shelves and a water system and setup my actual apartment so I could live there. I was moving in! I ended up living in the unit for around 2 months. I only spent around $100 making the space as efficient as I did, mostly because I already owned so much hardware. The cost of rent on my unit was $205 a month (which included insurance). A bargain, considering an apartment in the area was $1000+ a month. I made this video showcasing my work/unit.

So just $200 bucks to live in a box — most of us already live in a box for much more, so his route makes sense. Take a look at his living quarters thanks to his video below:

One interesting note is that this guy suggests being a ghost if you want to live in a storage unit, and yet he just shared a video that is slowly going viral — a video that will probably be seen by the storage company he’s currently at. So probably not the smartest move.

Oh, and if you were wondering, this guy showers everyday at the gym or community center. And now let me take a moment to me pay an absurd amount of rent money in order to continue living in this hole.
