NYIAS 2015: RxSpeed – Performance Parts Go-to Spot

The 2015 New York International Auto Show is rapidly approaching, with the Press Preview days only a few days away. While the show will once again unveil the latest new models destined for 2016, there will be plenty of attendees on hand to discover how to improve the cars they already own.

Enter RxSpeed, a new start-up company that focuses exclusively on the automotive aftermarket. The company will offer the largest, most advanced database and search engine for performance parts in the hope of becoming the Expedia.com of the aftermarket.

The RxSpeed team discovered that more than 80% of aftermarket enthusiasts do online research regardless of where they eventually buy their parts. Online sales are estimated at $6 billion and growing at a rate of 16% annually. 

“The Lab” at RxSpeed.com is a section that takes traditional editorial features and makes them “shoppable” with interactive image hotspots. RxSpeed’s database currently features 470 brands representing more than one million parts representing 27 million vehicle applications.
