The 10 Best WildStar Addons That You Should Download

We’re a little over a month post-launch for WildStar. A lot of players have settled into the world of Nexus, some of which have created some truly outstanding addons for the game.

Carbine Studios has encouraged the development and use of addons. As a result, there are a ton of them, and quite a few are very meaningful. But with so many to choose from, it isn’t easy to find what you’re looking for.

To help guide you to the WildStar addons you should download, I’ve compiled a list of what I consider the 10 best I’ve used. You can check them out below.

Note: To install an addon, place its folder in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\NCSOFT\WildStar\Addons. Alternatively, you can use the Curse Client for an auto-install process.

1. BijiPlates

This is the one addon I can’t live without. You might not notice it but the default text and status bars above player characters and NPCs isn’t as good as it could be. BijiPlates brings clarity to character names and spell actions, as well as making the health bar look a lot better.

BijiPlates is a must-have for PvE and PvP. You can locate targets quicker, and interrupt skills more easily. Get it!

2. JunkIt

Tired of having to go through each item in your inventory every time you you visit a vendor? JunkIt simplifies that necessary task by allowing you to filter what it is you want to sell. If you like to keep all your green items, you can tell it to do so. Or, it’ll just automatically clear out all the junk with one button press.

More than anything, JunkIt saves you time. You’re going to be clearing your inventory quite often, after all.

3. Ayth Quest

If you’ve ever been confused about what to do for certain quests, or even which order to do them in, you aren’t alone. I had my fair share of problems while leveling, and turned to Ayth Quest to make up for WildStar‘s relatively inadequate map.

Ayth Quest shows you where to go next based on proximity and level. As you might guess, you can level much faster with it enabled.

While this addon isn’t particularly helpful if you’re already 50, it’s a godsend if you’re still leveling up.

4. AMP Finder

The AMP system might provide some basis for market transactions and farming, but at times it’s reminiscent of the classic days of MMOs where you have to ask around or go on the internet to find out how to acquire something.

AMP Finder saves you the trouble of googling where to find each AMP by telling you where to acquire them within the AMP interface. As with many of the other addons on this list, this addon is a huge time saver.

5. Galaxy Meter

Okay, so some people hate damage meters, but there is some good to them. For one, it makes playing a DPS a lot more enjoyable; competing for the top spot is a great way to make dungeon runs feel faster. In many cases they also ensure that your DPS aren’t just sitting around doing nothing. After all, it looks pretty obvious on the chart when you’re only pulling 10% of the damage.

Galaxy Meter is a well put-together damage meter with tons of options. Even if you’re a healer or tank, you should get it.
