Dark Souls 2 PC Version is the “Best Experience Possible”, Releases April 25th

Ready to pick up Dark Souls 2 next week? If so, you may want to hold your horses.

Bandai Namco Games marketing director Mathieu Piau has some exciting news for PC gamers who are toughing out the wait until Dark Souls 2‘s PC version releases. He shared:

We are conscious of the high expectations from PC gamers and are working with From Softare in ensuring that the PC version of Dark Souls II offers the best experience possible. After an amazing first opus, Dark Souls II promises an even more engaging, richer and challenging adventure that should please all gamers, regardless of their platform of choice.

Unlike Dark Souls, the PC version has had a lot of time and effort put into it. It will incorporate a variety of graphic options, most important of which is a higher texture resolution. Yes, that means that if you have the PC hardware to run it, you can make Dark Souls 2 look glorious on your PC. Also, the frame rate won’t be capped at 30 like the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

If you’re hesitant to play an action game like Dark Souls 2 on a keyboard & mouse, you always have the option to plug in a controller. The Xbox One controller will have drivers available on Windows soon, and the PS4 can alrady be used by installing third-party software.

The only negative side is you’ll have to wait until April 25th for it to be released on Steam. In the event you can’t wait that long, we’re confident that you’ll be in for a good time no matter which platform you choose.
