Need for Speed VIDEO: Scott Waugh and Lance Gilbert

Scott Waugh and Lance Gilbert are stuntman royalty. The fathers were stuntmen, they were stuntmen, and now they are the director and stunt coordinator of one of the most stunt-heavy movies of 2014: Need for Speed, which eschews CGI trickery to bring a series of extraordinary car chases to life… for real.

William “Bibbs” Bibbiani asks Scott Waugh and Lance Gilbert to share stories of their stuntperson families (Gilbert’s dad even did the chariot race in Ben-Hur), to describe the coolest stunts they ever pulled off themselves, the trickiest stunt in Need for Speed and how they would want to up the ante if the sequel goes into production.

Need for Speed opens in theaters on March 14, 2014.
