El Rey Network Renews From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series For Third Season

Events are coming to a head in this week’s second season finale of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. But no matter what happens and who gets killed, one thing is certain: the Gecko brothers will be back in 2016!

El Rey Network and Miramax have announced a third season pickup of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, the television adaptation of the cult classic film by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. The second season of the series has taken the characters beyond the Titty Twister setting of the original movie and the first season as new alliances have formed, and Santánico (Eiza González) has emerged as an unlikely heroine.

In a statement, Rodriguez said “I’m so friggin excited that we are moving forward with another season of From Dusk Till Dawn: the Series. This show has a passionate following, and I just love making it and directing episodes. We have a killer cast and the characters have gotten even more layered and magnetic and I can’t wait to take this story even further.”

The size of the episode order for From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series Season 3 was not included in the initial announcement, but it will presumably match the ten episode order that the series received in its first two seasons. The only other thing that has been confirmed is that both Gecko brothers, Seth (D.J. Cotrona) and Richie (Zane Holtz) will be back to continue their war on the culebra underworld. The fate of the other characters remains up in the air pending the outcome of season 2’s finale.

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series Season 3 will premiere on El Rey in 2016.
