Cut Copy Return With First Australian Tour In Three Years

Australian electronic four-piece Cut Copy have announced their first Australian tour after a three-year hiatus.

Busy touring around the globe, the Melbourne synthpop group are making a quick trip home for three shows hitting Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Cut Copy will be playing new material from last November’s fourth studio album, Free Your Mind, at Sydney’s Metro Theatre, the 170 Russell in Melbourne and Eatons Hill in Brissy.

The boys have spent the past year on the touring and festival ride, playing at a number of world class events including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Osheaga, Rock en Siene and Sasquatch.

“The call of overseas touring has made our time at home less frequent than we may have liked over recent years,” frontman Dan Whitford said.

“We’re really looking forward to this opportunity to perform our new show and songs from our new record to home audiences.”

Cut Copy recently returned for sets with the Golden Plains festival, marking their first headline shows since the release of 2011’s Zonoscope.
