Titan Announces Doctor Who Comic Book Crossover

Doctor Who fans may have to wait until the series’ 60th anniversary in 2023 before anyone sees multiple Doctors share an adventure together. But comic book fans will only have to wait a few months.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (via Comicbook.com), Titan Comics will be publishing a Doctor Who crossover this summer that will bring together the Tenth Doctor, the Eleventh Doctor and the Twelfth Doctor. While the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors have previously met each other in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor only had a cameo in that episode.

The currently untitled Doctor Who crossover will be written by Paul Cornell, a comic book veteran who has written Wolverine, Black Widow and Captain Britain & MI-13 for Marvel Comics. Cornell is also widely known by Doctor Who fans for writing the episode “Father’s Day” in the first season of the revived series, and the “Human Nature”/“Family of Blood” two part episode in the third season based on his Doctor Who novel.

While Titan hasn’t yet revealed how the three Doctors will be brought together, the company did note that the companions created for the comic book series, Gabriella Gonzalez and Alice Obiefune will also appear in the adventure alongside current companion, Clara Oswald.

The Doctor Who crossover will begin on August 12.
