Cody was interviewed by Michael Wonsover from ESPN about his pro wrestling journey, his opportunity to win three world Titles in short succession and shedding the WWE tag that he has.
He spoke about his World Title opportunities at Ring Of Honor’s Best In The World, G1 Special in San Francisco and the tilt for the NWA crown against Nick Aldis at All In, claiming that it is a personal mission of his to win three world Titles as his father had done in his career.
Cody also mentioned leaving behind the association with WWE and emerging as a brand and performer unto himself, before delving into more details about how he believes he matches up with IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega.
He also mentioned that Omega may be the strongest competitor he’s felt inside the ring, alongside Cesaro.
