Demolition Comments On What It Would Take To Have Them Accept A WWE Hall Of Fame Nomination

Demolition’s Ax and Smash (Barry Darsow and Bill Eadie) were recent guests on Prime Time With Sean Mooney, and discussed their chances at getting into the WWE Hall Of Fame. You can read a few transcribed highlights (credit to Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com) and listen to the clip below. Barry: Who knows? We may never ever because they are so many tag teams out there.

Right now—Bill and I were kind of laughing about it, we saw you at Wrestlemania during WrestleCon—if they asked us to go in now, what would we really do? It’s been 20 years since we’ve been around the business, the guys make what, 5-6 thousand dollars when they go to the [WWE] Hall Of Fame? I think it would take $100,000 at least to bring us in for the Hall Of Fame, and I thought what a good number. My mother-in-law, she’s the greatest woman of all time, and she has a church in Belmont Mount Holly, North Carolina, and I would give $10,000 to her church. I’d take another $10,000 of that and give it to my son; he’s a deputy sheriff in the K-9 unit. Then, I probably give some more—I’m thinking of all of these different charities—but it’d probably be about $100,000 to even go there.

Bill: When we saw [Sean] at WrestleCon, a lot of people came up and said the same thing. We appreciate their loyalty and them being fans of ours, just remembering we were in the business, remembering things that made an imprint on their life. It would be a nice footnote, but Barry and I have both said a number of times we have no control over it. If we get in, great. If we don’t get in, we’re not going to lose sleep over it.
