Elias had big plans for a Backlash performance, but it got interrupted several times and ended up with him laid out while everyone else celebrated.
Elias mocked the Newark crowd and talked trash while claiming to be friends with Bruce Springsteen, and attempted to play his song but got interrupted a few times. The New Day, Aiden English and Rusev, No Way Jose (and his conga line including Titus Worldwide and Breezango), and Bobby Roode all came out at various points, enraging Elias, who demanded silence so he could play his song. Once Roode came out, he dropped Elias with a Glorious DDT, and the whole group ended up dancing back up the stage.
