AJ Styles is still the WWE Champion, confirming he will face Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania 34… which also leaves John Cena without a match at the big event.
Styles overcame the odds and ended up pinning Kevin Owens after a Phenomenal Forearm out of nowhere. The final moments of the match saw Owens and Sami Zayn’s friendship implode, Shane McMahon interfere after getting hit with a superkick, Cena hitting Baron Corbin with an Attitude Adjustment on the steps and more. Owens then hit Cena with a pop-up powerbomb, and Styles surprised him with the springboard move to retain.
Styles now moves on and will defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura, and he celebrated his win while a visibly dejected Cena sat in the corner and pushed the cameraman away.
