Austin Aries will make his first World Championship defense on next week’s episode of Impact Wrestling against Eli Drake in a rematch from last week’s surprise title match.
The match was announced after footage of Aries and Drake getting into a confrontation at a press scrum aired.

Aries was shown fielding questions about his surprise title win and return, and he said he didn’t know he would win the title, but he’s back and he’s going around the world collecting titles. Drake then ran in and got in his face about getting screwed over, but Aries said he will give him plenty of time to get ready for him this time. The match was confirmed shortly after the press scrum.
