In Ring Segment: Kurt Angle
Angle welcomes the WWE Universe to the show. Angle notes that the number one contender’s match last week did not have an actual victor. WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is here tonight. Before the close of the show, Angle will name Lesnar’s opponent for the Royal Rumble. Braun Strowman powerwalks to the ring. Strowman says he earned the opportunity to face Lesnar. Strowman was the only man left standing at the end of Raw last week. Strowman demands that Angle name him the number one contender. Kane joins Angle and Strowman in the ring. Kane says he has caused more destruction than anyone in the WWE over the past 20 years. There is no way anyone is stepping in front of Kane. Lesnar’s list of victims includes many names but it does not include Kane. Kane says he will get his chance at the Rumble… unless Strowman is man enough to stop him.
Paul Heyman walks out and says they are not going to have this conversation without input from the champion. Heyman introduces Lesnar. Lesnar walks with purpose to the ring. Angle says before things get out of hand, Angle announces it’s going to be a triple threat match. Angle says his catchphrase as he is hightailing it out of the ring. Strowman attacks Lesnar. Lesnar clotheslines Strowman out of the ring. Kane tries to chokeslam Lesnar. Lesnar counters and F5s Kane. Lesnar leaves the ring as Kane is laid out and Strowman watches from the outside of the ring. Lesnar gloats from the stage. Kane sits up and Lesnar makes a “what the fffff?” face.
