BG: It’s going really well. I am honored to work with Booker on his campaign. We are getting all of our ducks lined up and the election isn’t until 2019. We are taking every step necessary. Planning for every road block and hurdle we may pass. We went out the other day and spent some time with the Houston police department. Booker has a lot of good ideas on how to make Houston a better place. Not to say it’s a bad place but he sees a lot of room for improvement and that’s what he aims to do.

NH: Were the police receptive and excited to hear his ideas?

BG: Of course. The current mayor of Houston has kind of had some rocky roads with the police and fire department. Booker definitely sees the shortcomings of the current administration and wants to capitolize on it. I think the police department, the fire department and all of the first responders are all ears right now.
