Conflicting Report on Alleged Alberto Del Rio Knife Fight, TNA Champion Worked Bound For Glory Match w/ Broken Wrist?

Del Rio “Knife Fight” Conflicting Reports

As you’ve probably heard by now, former WWE star Alberto del Rio was allegedly involved in a “knife fight” this past weekend with a San Antonio driver who hit his car and, according to reports, engaged him in a physical altercation that saw del Rio hospitalized with multiple knife wounds including a laceration on the side of his head.

There have been some reporters not 100-percent satisfied with stories coming out and del Rio’s explanation of missing his AAA return on Sunday night. Pro Wrestling Sheet editor Ryan Satin, who has become a consistently reliable source of pro wrestling scoops since starting his site in 2015, noted on Twitter that he had spoken with San Antonio police since the alleged assault took place, and was told “they had no stabbing incidents” in the area “all weekend”.

We are by no means attempting to start a witch hunt against a former WWE world champion, but this is not the first time del Rio has no-showed an event. Just last year he was in hot water with fans after inexplicably missing a charity event that was raising money for autism, after a deposit and first class amenities had already been provided for his travel.

TNA Champ Works w/ Broken Wrist

TNA X-Division Champion DJZ worked Sunday’s Bound for Glory with a broken wrist, and didn’t even know it. The former “Zema Ion” went in for x-rays earlier today and walked out with a cast, which means he also worked this week’s Impact Wrestling television tapings, where he worked not one but two matches, with a broken wrist. No word on whether or not the champ will be out of action to heal up, but he has at least a couple of weeks before TNA returns to Orlando to tape more television.
