Joe Silva

MMAJunkie.com is reporting UFC matchmaker Joe Silva will be leaving the promotion, possibly before the year is over. Silva has worked for UFC in various roles for more than 20 years, including matchmaker since 2001.

Silva was said to have profited from the recent UFC sale to WME-IMG; it was stated the financial gain was not a motivating factor for his departure, but it will allow him to take time off and spend time with his family.

NXT

According to wrestling statistician Darren Bongiovanni, tonight’s episode of NXT featured Steve Cutler’s first win, and Kenneth Crawford’s first NXT TV match since March 16th. Additionally, tonight’s show was the first to not feature a tag team match since the July 13th episode.
