WWE Wellness Policy News, Taeler Hendrix Talks Evolution of Women in ROH, EC3 Pulled from Upcoming Event, Replaced By GFW Champ

WWE Wellness Policy News

As noted, WWE will not be punishing Brock Lesnar for his UFC drug test failures, as WWE maintains the Wellness Policy does not apply to part-time performers like Lesnar. Below is an excerpt from the official WWE Wellness Policy which addresses the policy applying to talents:

This policy, as it may be amended from time to time, is applicable and binding upon all WWE talent under contract to WWE who regularly perform in-ring services as a professional sports entertainer.

Taeler Hendrix Talks Evolution of Women in ROH

Ring of Honor star Taeler Hendrix recently spoke with Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine, and below is what Hendrix had to say on the evolution of the Women of Honor in ROH:

“I think of the women who paved the way for this to happen. I think they would be extremely proud of a lot of the women who are making those sacrifices and putting in the work to get wrestling where it is at today. I think they would be really proud of that, and it makes me extremely proud to know that I am a part of this Women of Honor.

But I think now you have all the women fighting in these matches to get a spot on the Women of Honor roster and are looking for that belt. I think all the women officially on the roster are fighting in every match just to showcase the fact they deserve that belt and that they have carved it out and their name should be there. The overwhelming support that has been elevating this division has been insane. It is more than we could ever ask for. So I think there will be a title sooner rather than later, but you are going to have to wait and see.”

EC3 Pulled from Upcoming Event

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite has issued the following:

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite has the unfortunate task of informing its fans that current Destined For Greatness Tour headliner and current TNA Star Ethan Carter lll will no longer be able to participate on the tour as scheduled due to new TNA scheduling requiring his services for TNA TV tapings during the tour.

CWE would like to thank EC3 for his professionalism during the entirety of the booking process, informing management well in advance and up front that at the time of accepting the booking he was in fact open with no TNA dates on the schedule but if that were to change he would be unavailable and give as much notice as possible. EC3 did just that and although the circumstance is unfortunate we are hopeful to do business with him in the future.

With that being said, Canadian Wrestling’s Elite understood the excitement of EC3’s debut with the company with our fan base and wanted to ensure a more than suitable replacement and have done just that!

September 22nd-Oct 1st Canadian Wrestling’s Elite fans will be treated to the very special CWE debut of CURRENT Global Force Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Nick “MAGNUS” Aldis!

The British wrestling sensation is not only the current GFW World Champion but a former TNA World Champion, a two time TNA World Tag Team Champion which he held with both Doug Williams and current NXT World Champion Samoa Joe, and the IWGP Tag Team Championships which he also held with Williams.

Trained in both the universally respected British style of professional wrestling AND American style of professional wrestling with one of the greatest physiques in modern day professional wrestling, MAGNUS is truly a one of a kind wrestling superstar.

Coming to CWE as the GFW World Champion, MAGNUS’ CWE debut will mark the first time a current World Champion of a Worldwide organization has appeared for the organization since “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce appeared in July 2010 as the NWA World Champion, Austin Aries as the ROH World Champion in January of 2010, and Nigel McGuiness with the ROH World Championship on CWE’s second ever event in February 2009.
