WWE star Bray Wyatt spoke with Brian Fritz of Between the Ropes at WrestleMania media day, and the following are some highlights. You can watch the entire interview in the video player below:
-On being a WrestleMania 32 mystery man and not knowing what The Wyatts are doing at the event, Bray says that’s the way it should be as that’s how the Wyatt Family is.
-As for where the Wyatt Family is in WWE right now, Bray says this is a pivotal time for the group as it’s in fate’s hands. He says they’re in a time frame now where they have to move, and this WrestleMania is a very different vibe from other WrestleManias because he is not advertised in a match.
-He thinks it’s cool that there’s not a big poster advertising Bray Wyatt vs Undertaker, or Triple H, and that there’s more of a mystery surrounding the Wyatts right now, and he says the fans have created that mystery and it’s cool.
-When asked if the WWE brass doesn’t really understand the Wyatt Family, Bray says that’s a fair assumption because he doesn’t even understand them. They are something very different and something no one expected, and the perception is that they’re swamp creatures, but that’s not who they are. They are educated monsters. But the fans have attached themselves to them because they are so different. Bray added it’s been a “slow understanding” from a company perspective.
-On Luke Harper’s injury, Bray says he always thought it would be Bray and not Harper that would get injured first. He says losing Harper to injury is hard. He says he never wanted to think about The Wyatts without Harper, because he is a pivotal part of the group, and he thinks he is the best in the ring that WWE has. Bray adds he considers Harper the glue that holds the group together and will be very missed.
