According to The Dispatch in Washington State, the new reality show “American Grit”, featuring John Cena, will wrap filming on December 16th. This makes it unlikely that Cena will appear at WWE TLC which takes place on December 13th in Cena’s hometown of Boston.
The Dispatch report notes that “American Grit” is scheduled to begin airing sometime in the Spring of 2016, is currently slotted for 10 episodes, and has been shooting since mid-November in locations of Little Mashell Falls and Pack Forest.
The show will feature 16 men and women split into 4 teams, and contestants, who will be mentored by representatives from the U.S. military, will compete in physical challenges. Each episode will feature an obstacle course, called “The Circus”, which will be used to eliminate the weakest team.
The winning team will have a chance to win a $1 million prize.
