Ring of Honor “Supercard of Honor IX” Results (3/27): Samoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe, Jushin Liger vs. Jay Lethal, Jimmy Jacobs Farewell & More

ring of honorRing of Honor Presents:

Supercard of Honor IX

March 27, 2015

Redwood City, CA

(1) Mark Briscoe def. ACH.

(2) Michael Elgin def. Kazarian. Christopher Daniels ran down to make the save for his partner, and Elgin took them both out.

(3) Matt Sydal won a 6-man mayhem match. Also included were Caprice Coleman, Cedric Alexander, Moose, Tommaso Ciampa and Andrew Everrett in a 6-man mayhem match. Basically a huge spotfest.

(4) BJ Whitmer def. Jimmy Jacobs in a NO DQ match. This one got pretty brutal. They did a farewell of sorts to Jacobs before he goes to WWE. Lovely Lacey even returned, who most fans these days aren’t going to recognize, but was pretty instrumental in Jacobs early ROH run. They ended up leaving together through the back door.

(5) Roderick Strong def. Christopher Daniels.

(6) reDragon def. Michael Bennett & Matt Taven to retain the ROH tag titles. UFC fighter Tom Lawlor was there in the corner of the champions.

(7) Jay Lethal def. Jushin Thunder Liger to retain the ROH TV title.

(8) Jay Briscoe def. Samoa Joe to retain the ROH World title. This was a great match to end a great night, and Joe came off looking like a legit star.
